Mazak Demonstrations Run the Gamut in Innovation at CMTS 2015

August 18, 2015 By Jason Eelbode

At CMTS 2015, Mazak Canada will spotlight advanced and affordable machine tool innovations suitable for shops of all sizes and manufacturing requirements. Attendees to booth 2560 can expect to see a variety of part-cutting demonstrations that reflect the company’s latest developments in Multi-Tasking, 5-axis, milling, turning and CNC technologies.

mazak1Among the most advanced Mazak machines on display at CMTS 2015 will include the VARIAXIS i-800, VARIAXIS i-600 and INTEGREX i-400ST. These popular 5-axis and Multi-Tasking models now incorporate the new SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY process-performance platform that has transformed the way Mazak multi-axis machines perform.

According to Mazak, revolutionary CNC technology, progressive machine design and unequaled engineering resources set the foundation for the platform and, together, provide users with unsurpassed ease of operation and unmatched productivity. In fact, every function of the new MAZATROL SmoothX CNC is a direct response to real-world issues, resulting in the industry’s fastest, most progressive machine tool control.

CMTS 2015 attendees will have the opportunity to watch the highly versatile VARIAXIS i-600 use its high-speed, full 5-axis capabilities to process a titanium-based guitar body in a single setup. Those interested in highly productive external gear and spline production will want to check out the INTEGREX i-400ST Multi-Tasking machine demonstrations that incorporate Sandvik Coromant’s InvoMilling process.

mazak2In terms of affordable innovation, Mazak will showcase machines from its UNIVERSAL Series family that redefines the quality and productivity standards of value-based CNC milling and turning machines. And, through this series, which encompasses countless machine configurations, the company sought to make it easy for manufacturers to find the perfect technology balance for their needs at the lowest possible operating costs.

CMTS attendees can expect to see the new QUICK TURN UNIVERSAL (QTU) 350M turning center with Multi-Tasking capabilities.
