latest generation electric motor, and efficient battery technology.

A detachable particle guard protects the motor from coarse dust while the machines’ working speeds have been optimized for their respective applications. The powerful battery packs deliver 18 V with a total capacity of a 4 Ah. These characteristics make Suhner cordless grinders your reliable partners whether in the field or on the job at the assembly site.

Also, the temperature of the battery pack and machine is monitored continuously. If overheated or overloaded, the device is switched off by the electronics. A shock absorbent rubber jacket shields the battery packs from the hard knocks of everyday use on the job site.

Suhner ASC 9 battery straight grinder

ACS 9 battery straight grinder – impressively powerful

The universal cordless straight grinder ASC 9 is ideal for work with non-woven brushes and flap wheels. Typical work includes the removal of tarnishing and blending on matte surfaces.

The reduction gears fitted in the machine deliver a high torque and consistent working speed, providing that uniform grinding pattern you have come to expect from Suhner tools.

The machine is fitted with a chuck system that provides quiet running with minimal vibration. Users can choose between the 1/4″ chuck or 6 mm chuck (primarily in Europe). Optional chucks can accept arbors up to 8 mm. The cordless straight grinder ASC 9 operates at a speed of 9,000 rpm and weighs 4.4 lbs including the battery pack.

Suhner - ABC 7 cordless belt grinder

ABC 7 cordless belt grinder – the specialist for tight angles

The cordless belt grinder ABC 7 from Suhner is your first choice when you are working on applications with tight spaces. For example, in fillet welds or miters. The machine is characterized by extremely fast belt changes for grinding or polishing applications. The standard version of the ABC 7 includes the universal contact arm KA 25/9. It can be fitted with belts 1/8″, 1/4″, and 1/2″ wide. For even greater flexibility, Suhner offers additional contact arms available for belts 1/8″, 1/4″, 1/2″, 5/8″, and 3/4″ wide. The cordless belt grinder ABC 7 operates at a speed of 7,000 rpm and weighs 5.3 lbs including the battery pack.

Suhner - AKC 3 battery fillet weld grinder

AKC 3 battery fillet weld grinder – beats the competition “by a long neck”

Developed specifically for metalworking, the cordless fillet weld grinder AKC 3 from Suhner features reduction gears that make it extremely powerful. Thanks to its lightweight design and long neck of aluminum, the tool weighs only 4.8 lbs including the battery pack for easy maneuverability. In addition, the extremely low cross head aides the user when working in low clearance areas. This makes the grinder ideal for fillet welds in tight places, a problem encountered often on railings and other metal structures.

Suhner - ATC 7 tube polisherATC 7 tube polisher – Tube polishing made easy

The cordless tube polisher ATC 7 from Suhner is ideal for tubes up to 1-3/4″ in diameter. When working on tight elbows, the cordless tube polisher is easily maneuvered to complete the job quickly. A wraparound angle of at least 180° ensures fast, efficient work, and in contrast to rival products, the wraparound is not maintained by the contact pressure. Material can therefore be removed under considerably less pressure while maintaining maximum control.

Suhner - Four practical sets – all inclusive

Four practical sets – all inclusive

The four cordless grinders are available as a set consisting of the machine, two battery packs, and the charger in a robust composite case. The set also includes four different battery charging cables that can be connected to the most common sockets all over the world.

Thanks to their lean design and low weight, these grinders simplify the work on railings, steps, metal structures, plant components, tanks, and containers among many other applications. If you are looking to experience the advantages of cordless machines for complex surface finishes in tight spaces, then look no further than the new SUHNER series of cordless grinders.

The right choice for creating value with surface treatment.

machines from its STUDER, BLOHM, WALTER and EWAG lines to demonstrate how ID/OD, match, creep feed, centerless, radius, universal and other modern grinding techniques can improve productivity and boost part quality. Among these machines are the new STUDER S151, a universal internal cylindrical grinding machine, and the new BLOHM PROFIMAT MT, a high-performance production grinding machine. The company will also showcase an advanced automation cell to demonstrate the use of its machines in lights-out manufacturing.

Application engineers will be available during the more than 16 technology demonstrations to answer questions and discuss how new developments in surface and profile, cylindrical and tool grinding can produce precision parts at the best possible value. Supplementary technical lectures will follow these demonstrations so attendees can further explore the new grinding frontier.

Other key topics of discussions at the event will include how in-process and post-process gauging, automation, software, coolant, abrasive technology and preventive maintenance play important roles in optimizing the overall grinding process.

Furthermore, attendees can leverage the diverse experience of the United Grinding staff to find the best grinding strategy for growing and/or optimizing their unique operations. Company representatives available during the event will include applications engineers, customer care representatives, executive team members as well as experts who represent each of the United Grinding brands in Europe.

Several ancillary grinding machine suppliers will also be on hand to share technology advancements within their respective areas and how they relate to United Grinding equipment.

According to Terry Derrico, president and CEO of United Grinding North America, Inc., the United Grinding Universe Event is a great opportunity for any company that wants to reshore or grow their business in the highly competitive global marketplace. “Our event will be this year’s primary source for all things grinding.
